I'm a big fan of sports. Mainly football and basketball, but I've taken interest in soccer, track, and sometimes baseball. Growing up, I was playing outside on the regular. My friends and I would run the streets from sun up to sun down. Most of the time we were playing football and naturally we kept playing all the through high school. We stayed active doing anything from running pick-up games on the court to ultimate frisbee. Some of my friends went to college for sports and are still playing currently. It's a blessing to be able to see my friends play sports we grew up loving at the collegiate level. We all developed a competitive nature at young age and it continued to manifest as we grew and got more involved in sports.
Although football is my proclaimed favorite sport, I've only been to NBA games. We had good seats at the game too, so it was amazing to see superstars like Kawhai Leonard, Paul George, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and even the vet Tim Duncan preform in person. NFL games are high on my bucket list though. I've been a New Orleans Saints fan for as long I can remember, so it's a dream of mine to see them play in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. I also want to go to a rivalry soccer game, just to see the intensity of the crowd.
Profesional athletes are some of the biggest influencers in the world. The great ones inspire in all aspects of life like the legendary Kobe Bean Bryant. Sports has probably impacted everybody at some point in their life one way or another. It's like a universal language. You could not know anything about a person or their sport, but if you see them dominate, naturally you're going to respect them. And the greatest athletes go on to leave a legacy that will inspire current and future generations. Sports has always been a big part of my life and hopefully I get to bump elbows with the greats who inspired me.
